Problem Solving

Problem solving is an area of Maths that a lot of children find difficult.

The secret to being good at problem solving is to have a set of strategies that you are able to use and apply to different problems. This section of the website explains different strategies in turn and then gives examples of problems where the different strategies are used. Many problems use more than one strategy so you will find the same problems repeated in different sections.

Choose a section, work through each problem, and use the videos to help you whenever you get stuck or to review what you have done when you have finished a question.
