‘Per’ means ‘out of’. ‘Cent’ means ‘100’. So ‘percent’ means ‘out of 100’. **100 percent **means 100 out of 100 which means the **whole** of something.

If you know 100% you can easily work out 50%, 25% and 75% of different numbers. We can then go on to work out other percentages.

**IMPORTANT: THIS ACTIVITY IS NOT READY YET. THE VIDEOS ARE NOT FINISHED. LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TRY IT AND I WILL MAKE THEM FOR YOU.**

**Notes for Parents and Teachers**

Percentages are just fractions in disguise. And they are actually easier than fractions because they are all to do with parts of 100.

This activity is not quite ready yet so if you try to access it you will find the videos are missing. If you want to give it a try, just get in touch and ask me to prioritise it!
